CONTACT ZONIES PHILOSOPHY

This is a team sport – you are the coach and leader of the team.

Contact Zonies, LTD is an affiliate of USDAA.  The dates and locations of our activities can be found here as well as in our newsletter and posted on the club bulletin board at the training site.
Dakota
Contact Zonies welcomes students who are training for competition as well as those training just for fun.  The most important requirements are that you want to spend quality time with your dog and are interested in learning about the sport of Dog Agility.

Contact Zonies is an agility club organized to promote this dog sport in the Valley.  We started as the first club in Phoenix in 1992.  We are named after the painted areas at the ends of some equipment -
the "contact zone".

All training is done in a positive manner with food, toys, and praise.  Corrections are not allowed.  There are no "NO's" in agility. It is our desire to insure that each dog and owner has a positive training experience.  It is recommended that your dog respond to basic commands such as come, sit, down, and stay.

A dogs age is not a criteria for acceptance into the classes, overall health is more important.  Puppies under the age of 1 year may be accepted on a per case basis.  All breeds and mixed breeds are accepted.

For more information and registration information contact:  Debora Nichols or register online.

You can earn Contact Cash by participation in club activities which are Club Shows, Fun Runs, Demonstrations, Equipment Days, Fund Raisers, the movement of equipment for competition and any other activities the Board assigns as a club activities. Members will need to sign in and out at the work site so their hours can be documented. When the member completes the work shift and checks out, the member will receive the Contact Cash. It will be the member’s responsibility to keep track of the Contact Cash. If the Contact Cash is lost, we are very sorry, but we will not be able to track the Contact Cash for reimbursement. There will not be any records kept of who worked where, when and how long. So it is very important that you collect your Contact Cash that day and put it in a safe place until Class Registration time.
